Rhett has done some fantastic research and provided a multitude of ideas that we need to decide upon as soon as possible in order to begin fundraising.
Two Hundred and Two Fundraising Opportunities
There are a few options for fundraising. All have their pros and cons. As a team we must decide on what ideas are feasible and can be completed in a 12-15 week timeframe.
Chocolate Drive.
Chocolate drives can be organised through Cadbury. There is a minimum purchase of 15 boxes of chocolates. Each box contains 48 chocolates that are sold at $1.20each.
Pros
Boxes can be given to family and friends to take to work and leave in staff rooms etc.
50% profit margin if we sell all 15 boxes.
Cons
Possibility of wastage (melted chocolates)
Possibility of theft if boxes are left unattended in staff rooms.
Could take entire trimester to sell all of the chocolate
Sausage Sizzle
The sausage sizzle can be organised at uni. DUSA has a BBQ that hopefully we can commandeer and use. *The above figures are based on the price of the cheapest sausages we can get through Coles. If decide to host a sausage sizzle we may be able to ask Coles to donate the sausages and we can recognise them in our special thanks in the end credits, this would allow us to have a 100% Profit margin. The return and profit is based on 220 sausages (10x 22pack of Coles Sausages) sold at $1.50 each.
Pros
Quick Fundraiser to complete.
Around 50% profit margin with a possibility of a 100% profit
Cons
Possibility of not selling all the 220 sausages
Garage Sale
A garage sale has the opportunity to create some good cash flow if we have any unwanted items.
Pros
Quick Fundraiser to complete.
100% profit margin
Cons
Could not work out
Could only return a small amount of cash.
Movie Ticket Drive
We can print of order forms for free of FunRaiser.com, we then sell ticket packs to family and friends. They receive packs of tickets at a cheap price for use at Village cinemas.
Pros
No risk of lost money as there are no upfront costs
Great return
Should be popular
Cons
