Film Stock Pricing
The proper pricing for the film stock has come in, it is an additional $40 per role then what we estimated.
This seems reasonable to me.
Dani
I called the Kodak office in Australia and the full price for the Kodak vision 200T film is $237AUD with a 40% discount it is $142.20 AUD per roll
so the final cost will be $568.80 fro 4 rolls of film.
$164 More than we thought it would cost.
-Juntra
This seems reasonable to me.

Fundraising
Rhett has done some fantastic research and provided a multitude of ideas that we need to decide upon as soon as possible in order to begin fundraising.
Two Hundred and Two Fundraising Opportunities
There are a few options for fundraising. All have their pros and cons. As a team we must decide on what ideas are feasible and can be completed in a 12-15 week timeframe.
Chocolate Drive.
Chocolate drives can be organised through Cadbury. There is a minimum purchase of 15 boxes of chocolates. Each box contains 48 chocolates that are sold at $1.20each.
Pros
Boxes can be given to family and friends to take to work and leave in staff rooms etc.
50% profit margin if we sell all 15 boxes.
Cons
Possibility of wastage (melted chocolates)
Possibility of theft if boxes are left unattended in staff rooms.
Could take entire trimester to sell all of the chocolate
Sausage Sizzle
The sausage sizzle can be organised at uni. DUSA has a BBQ that hopefully we can commandeer and use. *The above figures are based on the price of the cheapest sausages we can get through Coles. If decide to host a sausage sizzle we may be able to ask Coles to donate the sausages and we can recognise them in our special thanks in the end credits, this would allow us to have a 100% Profit margin. The return and profit is based on 220 sausages (10x 22pack of Coles Sausages) sold at $1.50 each.
Pros
Quick Fundraiser to complete.
Around 50% profit margin with a possibility of a 100% profit
Cons
Possibility of not selling all the 220 sausages
Garage Sale
A garage sale has the opportunity to create some good cash flow if we have any unwanted items.
Pros
Quick Fundraiser to complete.
100% profit margin
Cons
Could not work out
Could only return a small amount of cash.
Movie Ticket Drive
We can print of order forms for free of FunRaiser.com, we then sell ticket packs to family and friends. They receive packs of tickets at a cheap price for use at Village cinemas.
Pros
No risk of lost money as there are no upfront costs
Great return
Should be popular
Cons

Film Stock
Juntra has done some fantastic research and come up with rough estimates of pricing of the film stock based on an American kodak site so this may change. Estimates show that we will require 4 roles of film in accordance with the 4:1 ratio suggested. Each role will cost an estimated $101.00 which includes the 40% student discount.
If these figures prove to be accurate we should be able to purchase the stock relatively soon and keep it aside.
400 ft roll of film @ 25 fps = 10 mins 40sec
8 min of screen footage = 300 ft of film
at a 4:1 ratio we need a minimum of 1200 ft (3 rolls)
To be safe maybe 4 rolls
The film stock i am interested in is KODAK vision3 200T code(7213)
I looked on the site it says it cost $146.18 per roll I assume its in USD
so 168.29 AUD each x 4 = $673.16
If we order with a stock purchasing letter signed by simon we get 40% off
so the final cost will be $403.98 AUD for 4 rolls of film.
I will call the AUS kodak office tomorrow to confirm the price and ask if we can maybe get some free samples to test the film stock with.
I have 200ft (5mins) left of 16mm Kodak vision 500T film that we can also use for the test shoot.
